Paweł Nierada brings 30 years of executive experience in capital markets, investment banking, and strategic financial management. Since 2024 he is one of the founding Partners of the Three Seas Business Council — the business and investment hub for the Three Seas region, connecting enterprises, investors, public institutions and NGOs to unlock the region’s full economic potential. Before that, since 2016, Paweł served as First Vice President – Deputy CEO at Poland’s national development bank BGK (Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego), , where he led Capital Markets, Treasury, Investment, International Relations and, later, IT and Cyber Security (team of 1000+ reporting employees). He was one of the principal architects behind the creation of the approx. US$ 1.3bn Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund, which has successfully deployed capital into projects across the region and is delivering returns significantly exceeding 15% IRR. After commencing operations of the Fund, he served as a Supervisory Board Member there. Also, Paweł served as Vice President of the European Long-Term Investors Association (ELTI) and Board Member of the European Association of Public Banks (EAPB). Previously, since mid-1990’ies, Paweł held senior roles at ING, Credit Suisse First Boston, Deloitte, NM Rothschild, and ERSTE Bank Group, managing major IPOs, M&A, and privatization projects. He has provided strategic advisory to governments and multinational corporations both in Poland and internationally. An MBA graduate from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and holder of a Master’s in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics, Paweł regularly contributes to international financial forums and media as an expert commentator on economic strategy and capital markets.
