Maria Rita Galli is Chief Executive Officer of AKTOR LNG S.A., responsible for the LNG and natural gas activities of the AKTOR Group. She is an internationally experienced energy executive with more than 25 years of expertise in natural gas, LNG, energy infrastructure, and business development. Before joining AKTOR in 2026, she served as Chief Executive Officer of DESFA (Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator) from 2021 to February 2026, contributing to the development of Greece’s strategic energy infrastructure and regional energy connectivity. Maria Rita Galli began her career in 1997 at Eni, where she held senior management positions in gas and LNG supply and trading, international business development, mergers & acquisitions, and management of international subsidiaries. In 2016, she joined Snam as Executive Vice President for Business Development and coordinated the acquisition of a 66% stake in DESFA through the SENFLUGA Energy Holdings consortium, formed by Snam, Enagás, and Fluxys. She subsequently served as Chairwoman and CEO of SENFLUGA before assuming the leadership of DESFA in 2021. She holds a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
